Does this have to be a digital photo?
- Yes
Can I turn my photo black and white?
- Yes, we have many options available to alter/enhance your photo. Our photo editing software allows you to turn a full color photo into a black & white photo by adjusting the “saturation” dial.
How long will my order take?
- Your MagneticPix board will arrive in 2-4 weeks as each board is custom manufactured to your specifications.
Do I need to use a special camera?
- Yes, it must be a digital camera with capability of 2 megapixel or higher resolution
Can I use copyrighted photos?
- You can only use photos that you own the copyright to. When you order from us, you must agree to our disclaimer and terms which includes language discussing copyright.
Can I really hang this outside?
- MagneticPix are UVA/UVB resistant and suitable for outdoor use.
How easy is it to hang my MagneticPix board?
- MagneticPix are very easy to hang. They are pre-drilled with holes that allow you to hang it horizontally or vertically. Determine your hanging surface and mount using nails/screws and small anchors if necessary.
What type of markers do I use to write on it?
- We recommend a dry erase marker just like the one we will send you when we ship your MagneticPix photo board. Make sure to test any other markers on the back of the board to make sure they won’t damage your MagneticPix.
What type of magnets should I use?
- We recommend medium strength magnets. Super strong magnets can damage your MagneticPix. Make sure to test all magnets on the back before using.
What are the Photo Requirements?
-The resolution of your photo will determine the quality of your MagneticPix. If you use a low resolution photo, you’ll get a low resolution MagneticPix.
-Resolution is measured by DPI (dots per inch.) To provide you with the highest quality MagneticPix we like to see at least 75 DPI at the final output. Pictures of insufficient resolution are the biggest problem we face. Please use the below guidelines in choosing your photo for MagneticPix.
- Small MagneticPix Needs a minimum of 938 x 1200 pixels
- Medium MagneticPix Needs a minimum of 1200 x 1763 pixels
- Large MagneticPix Needs a minimum of 1763 x 2588 pixels
-In general, a file that is at least 2MB will meet our DPI requirements. You can check to see how many pixels your photo is by right clicking on the photo and viewing it’s properties. The more pixels, the higher the resolution. The higher resolution your photo is the higher resolution your MagneticPix will be!! We will contact you if we don’t think your picture will look good at the size you want.
-Usually Cell Phone Photos do not look great when enlarged. Keep this in mind when choosing a photo.
